Bethany Fong

Programme Associate

Bethany Fong is an education specialist with over eight years of experience managing  programmes and building nonprofit startups across Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. She has dedicated her career to improving learning outcomes for marginalized students through evidence-based and results-driven approaches.

Her experience spans from managing a newly established girls’ preschool in rural Ghana; to supporting the evaluation design for national school leadership development programme in Rwanda; to designing and implementing outcomes-based financing (OBF) programmes exceeding $60M across West Africa.

At EOF Bethany supports the technical design and implementation of education programmes in Nigeria and Sierra Leone. Her work focuses on strengthening foundational learning and reducing the number of out-of-school children, alongside contributing to data analysis and learning agendas that inform government decision-making.

Bethany holds a Master’s in Educational Planning, Economics and International Development from UCL’s Institute of Education.
